FAQs

01. What is the purpose of lash extensions?

Lash extensions will make your natural lashes appear longer, thicker, and darker in comparison to your natural lashes. This effect will make your eyes stand out by giving it a little boost or a wider-eye look.

02. How are lash extensions applied?

A single lash extension or volume lash extension (multiple light-weight extensions) is applied with a very small amount of medical grade adhesive and placed carefully on the shaft of one mature natural lash.

03. How do you determine what looks best on my eyes?

Choosing a lash style for a client is customized to your face shape and your eyes and/or your desired look.

04. How long does the appointment take?

It all depends on what lash style you choose. Typically, a full set will take about 1.5 hours to 2 hours or more. Most clients tend to fall asleep though, and you’re more than welcome to bring headphones if you so please.

05. What is an infill and how often should I get one?

Natural lashes have a natural growth cycle that sheds every 60-90 days as new ones grow in. For this reason, infills are needed between 2-4 weeks to fill in lashes on the new growth.

06. Will lash extensions damage my own lashes?

No. With proper application and quality products used on your natural lashes, it does not damage your natural lashes especially when natural lashes have a natural growth cycle.

07. Can I use lash growth products while I have extensions?

It would depend on the ingredients, so please check before use. I would not recommend using an eyelash growth product that contains steroids just because it changes the composition of your lashes. It would be difficult to determine your eyelash extension retention. If you feel that you must use an eyelash growth, look for a natural growth product (eyelash extension safe) that contains peptides.

08. Will I need to use mascara on my lash extensions?

No. It is not recommended.  Mascara weighs down your natural lashes and it compromises the bonding agent that is used for your lash extensions, which weakens your retention.  It is also very difficult to remove remanence from your lash extensions.  Remanence of mascara can affect how well the lash extensions adhere to your natural lashes.

09. How do I keep my lash extensions clean?

You can cleanse your lash extension several times a week by gently applying water on your eyes or wetting a spooley while gently combing the tips of your lash extensions.  If you use an eye/lash cleanser, make sure it is water-based, oil-free, and non-irritating eye/lash cleanser.

10. How are lash extensions removed?

Lash extensions are removed with a specific product designed to safely remove eyelash extensions.  There will be a charge for this process, which takes up to 45 minutes.  If you choose to not have them professionally removed, you can also allow your eyelash extensions to naturally shed over time.
